dope, fun, PLEASE in the next update, make it so we can go back and check where the mistake was made so we can hear how off we were to A/B our submission to the answer, and I still don't understand how I fail the range be on but I fail and on some I pass when its off a little, meaning I don't have a great understanding of how this works as far as pass and fail

WOULD LOVE TO MOVE CURVES AFTER SUBMIT ANSWERS. WOULD LOVE TO BE ABLE TO CREATE BATTLES WITH FRIENDS.

Would Love To Edit My Curves

I love this app.. However, I request a change for sure. Please allow us to edit the curves once you submit the answer. It would be nice to be able to go back and see how changing it to the correct curve really affects things. There have been many times that I have gotten something wrong and couldn't hear where things were wrong. It would be nice to be able to sweep and see why my frequencies were off.

Few tweaks and it will be a perfect learning tool

Great alternative for SoundGym, especially as it's free and you can upload your favourite tracks.
A couple of issues:
1. I really need to change my eq curve after answering, so I can really notice the difference and actually learn something. Without that, I'm really just testing my skills, not improving them.
2. I'm being logged out every time I close the app.
3. Custom songs reset after closing the app and I need to re-add them every time, which is really annoying.

Absolutely love this! Highly Recommend

I wasn't expecting much from this, but it's actually really fun and it works. At first you think it's a bit eh, but you quickly realize it's because your ears aren't 100% tuned in. After a while, you start to notice the subtle frequency differences. I really thought it was my headphones at first, but after a week, I went from 75% on everything to 90% - 95%.

I do have an issue but... for some reason my game state doesn't save... After I reboot my computer, it's always at stage 1, even with login. It would also be awesome if you could skip the tutorial since it's fun to go back to the earlier stages to get 100%.

JOURNEY

EQ Academy is a transformative training ground designed to sharpen your ears and refine your mixing instincts. With 100 levels spread across 10 sections (EQ Explorer, Frequency Finder, Sound Sculptor, etc). You’ll progress from the fundamentals to mastering advanced EQ techniques.

Each section introduces new challenges, from EQ gain adjustments to frequency positioning, Q bandwidth control, and mid/side processing. Every level pushes you further, unlocking the next stage when you meet the required score.

After completing 10 levels, you’ll unlock your personal stats in the bottom left corner of the journey page, tracking your Global Rank, which is where you rank against all other EQ Academy players, your Mastery Score, which is your average score across all levels, and the total challenges you’ve played. This helps you keep track of exactly how far you’ve come.

In the bottom right corner of the journey page you’ll see the streak bonuses which keep you motivated—more on those later.

At the center of the screen, you’ll find your current level, which displays your best score, and the minimum score needed to advance. Want a heads-up on what’s coming? Click the ‘i’ icon to preview the level’s challenges.

Pass the section milestone test to earn music trophies, marking your evolution from an EQ Explorer to the ultimate Master Engineer at level 100.

Click Start or click the center level to enter the Game Play.

Game Play

EQ Academy isn’t just about aimlessly tweaking frequencies—it’s focused training to get you listening like a pro. Your mission? Match Your EQ as closely as possible to the Target EQ by adjusting the nodes and dialing in the perfect sound.

Here’s how you play:

Switch between Your EQ and the Target EQ to compare them—hit ‘Tab’ on your keyboard for an instant A/B toggle.
Adjust the nodes to shape Your EQ. Hover over a node to see which parameters you can tweak. The game starts simple with just one node and gain adjustments, but as you level up, you’ll tackle frequency, Q bandwidth, and mid/side adjustments with multiple nodes.
The blue-shaded ‘Target Range’ gives you a helpful guide for where the correct EQ settings might be. If you’re up for a challenge, switch it off and go full pro mode.
At the bottom of the screen, you’ll find the audio waveform and playhead. Click and drag to loop a section—we recommend looping the loudest part of the track to get the clearest sense of what needs adjusting (we’ve done this for you for the factory tracks).

Every level is randomly generated, meaning no two challenges are ever the same. This makes EQ Academy infinitely replayable and an essential tool in your journey to mastering EQ.

Streaks

Consistency is the key to improvement, and EQ Academy rewards your dedication with great perks as you progress. The more you play, the more you unlock:

Complete 10 Levels: Unlock your personal stats, showing how you compare to other players worldwide, and tracking your mastery score, which is your average score across all levels. See your growth in real time and stay motivated.
Complete 20 Levels: Gain access to the Challenge Builder, allowing you to customize challenges to match your training needs. Want to focus on frequency positioning or mid/side adjustments?
Complete 30 Levels: Unlock song imports, letting you train with your favourite songs. Upload as many songs as you like and fine-tune your skills using the music you know best.

Streaks reset if you don’t complete a level within 7 days, so make sure to stay on top of your training and keep building momentum.

Monthly Leaderboard

You don't have to do anything extra to enter the monthly leaderboard - just keep playing Journey levels.

Here's how it works:

Pass levels to earn points - Each Journey level you pass in a month contributes to your score for that month. Higher levels give more points.
Precision matters - Your average mastery score across all levels you pass in a month is also a factor in your monthly score.
Consistency - You get a bonus for the number of days played per month.

Earn rewards:

The top 3 scorers will receive prizes every month. Some months, every active player may receive a reward.

Track your progress:

A history of your scores from past months can be accessed on the manage account page.
